A few days have passed since I published my draft journal.
Just yesterday, I spent a lot of time reviewing the ideas contained within it and trying to extract them.
It was exhausting and frustrating to go over the concepts I had produced spontaneously and attempt to turn them into a coherent discourse.
Despite my initial enthusiasm and the desire to piece everything together, in the end, I achieved what seems to me to be modest results, leaving me feeling mildly disappointed.
I must acknowledge that I have crossed the threshold of uninterrupted thought flow and ventured into the subsequent phases after "writing," namely "extracting" and "connecting."
If free writing now comes easily to me and is no longer an issue, extracting and connecting still require a lot of practice. Not so much in extraction itself, but in composing connections into a smooth, well-structured, and coherent piece.
I therefore recognize the benefit of this first iteration, and if I want to continue improving, I have no choice but to keep going while reflecting on and refining my process.
---
How I plan to improve in the next iteration:
1. I will build connections progressively. Instead of aiming for a perfectly fluid and polished text from the start, I will first create small clusters of related ideas and gradually expand them.
2. I will use visual tools. Concept maps, diagrams, or simple lists will help me visualize the relationships between ideas before writing a final structured text.
3. I will refine in small steps. Rather than expecting everything to come together in one big piece, I will work on individual paragraphs, making them clear and well-formed before integrating them into the whole.
4. I will allow multiple iterations. This is just the first round. The second and third will be easier, and I will use each pass to refine and improve my work
